A Life Changed!

My life seemed happy, not full of care.
I lived a life that seemed very fair.
I was joyful with dark, sinful games
Until the day when down Jesus came.

He showed me the wrong that I did do.
He said He came down to help me, too.
I said to Him,"Am not I now fine?"
Then Jesus laid down the sinful line.

He told me that I was doing wrong --
I'd kept it up all my life long.
He also said He could help me more
If I'd let Him inside my heart's door.

I turned away. Oh, so mad was I!
I then told Him an awful lie:
"I can live as I lived here before;
I need no help from You anymore."

I turned back to my life of sin's play --
I was never happy after that day.
I tried to feel happiness again,
But, howe're I tried, now I knew sin.

I hated myself and turned around;
I knew I was too sinful to play bound.
I could not set myself free, so I
Turned to Jesus in heaven on high.

I looked on God's beloved, dear Son
And said to Jesus, "Thy will be done."
I cried with joy as He held me near.
I no longer had any dark fear.

My price was paid -- happiness returned.
My lesson of grace fore're I'd learned.
